We had to soften the intro on my review of Matriarch, which is both good (because I don’t want to get in trouble) and a shame (because I also don’t really care about trouble and I love my words too much). The gist is: There was more about Kate Dickie’s chest in the original opening graf. Now there is less. So it goes. Still, there’s a valid reason to cut the more explicit stuff, mostly being that whole thing about “trouble.”
Besides: The film is pretty solid in its own right, and why take away from that by focusing on Dickie’s decolletage? And why keep you from reading the review when I could just say…here’s my review?
