“‘Drive’s Endearing Buddy-Action Vibes Should’ve Made Mark Dacascos a Star”

I will never, ever understand how Mark Dacascos, handsome and charismatic and athletic and cool as hell, isn’t one of the biggest movie stars of his generation. I don’t want to take away from what he’s accomplished in his career; he’s successful and well-known, and he was the fucking Chairman on Iron Chef America, and not even Jackie Chan can say that. Eat it, Jackie.

All the same, Dacascos’ Drive – which is also Steve Wang’s Drive – owns incredibly hard, and like Dacascos should have been a much bigger thing. Fortunately, you all have me, a guy who will quite happily dig into unsung movies for your benefit (and, I must say, my own).

You can read the whole thing over at Paste Magazine.
