“Meanwhile Brewing Teams Up With Dutch Artist for New IPA Series”

I wonder how many people stare at craft beer Instagram accounts for the beer versus the can art. It’s true: You drink with your eyes first. Well-lit and staged shots of beer splashing into glassware tend to get people in the mood to buy beer, then take the beer home, then try to set up their own shots of beer splashing into glassware, then fail miserably, and then drink the beer*.

But there’s something about clever, well-realized can art that’s compelling on its own. So when Meanwhile Beer reached out to me about their work collaborating with Timo Kuilder, and when I saw how nice the work actually is, I figured: Why not dig into the way can art can complement what goes into the can?
