I wanted to try and concisely summarize my G-S-T review for Cloud Atlas, that massive ensemble spectacle sprung from the minds of Lana and Andy Wachowski, Tom Tykwer, the David Mitchell, the architect of the novel the film is original based on. Then I realized that it took me over a thousand words to review the film in earnest and I still think I didn’t quite do it justice. So hesitate no longer and just click it here to read my thoughts on the film, which happens to be one of the year’s best.
Good use of the word “germane” in your review.
As for me, though I visually enjoyed the film and performances, I never got emotionally connected to the stories. The closes I came was with the Forbirsher and Sixsmith storyline.
I can understand that– I think Frobisher’s storyline actually contains the most human elements of the lot. And it’s also the most down-to-Earth, despite its own dramatics. Thanks Victor!

I have been extremely curious about Cloud Atlas, but given my recent move to the city and my girlfriend’t upcoming job overseas, I haven’t pulled the trigger.
Highly recommended that you do. I loved it. (Obviously.)
