“The Best Cinematography Of 2022”

One thing I like about the year-end rush to put out big, fat “best-of” features like this one is the opportunity to write about movies I haven’t written about elsewhere during the year. Take, for instance, God’s Country, one of the best debuts of last year: Didn’t get a greenlight on any pitches* for this one, but writing about how damn good it looks? That’s a nice consolation prize.

That being said, I happen to have previously covered a few of these on the list, some of which you might recognize, a’la Down with the King and Nanny. So, it’s not all new. It’s just mostly new.
