“Steel at 25: Shaqsploitation”

Don’t let this change your opinion of me, but: Back in my middle school years, I was a big fan of Shaquille O’Neal, not in his capacity as one of the best centers to ever play in the NBA but as…a very mid-tier rapper. I can’t explain why. I’m not in 6th grade anymore. Leave me alone.

But time proves all experience valuable, including my experience as an O’Neal scholar, so when Steel turned 25 the other day, I had a piece about it. It’s a bird. It’s a plane. It’s a Superman surrogate in a heavily diluted blaxploitation movie!

It’s…also the link to my piece, which is over at Music, Movies, & Hoops*.

*I put out this call on my Instagram story a while back, but: MMH could use your help if you’re willing to sign onto their Patreon.
