Well: You can learn a lot by watching a not-very-good movie. In the case of Attack on Finland, a movie I can only halfheartedly recommend on account of a) it’s mostly okay, and b) you may not want to watch a movie about an attempted coup in a developed democratic nation right about now; I will recommend it for any Jasper Pääkkönen fans, because he’s fascinating and he is also In It.
I don’t really understand what this film means to accomplish outside of adapting a novel, but Pääkkönen is a compelling, magnetic force, and I guess for me, that’s enough to hang on to.
