“40 Years Ago, ‘The Thing’ Set A New Standard For Sci-Fi Thrillers – And Accidentally Inspired A Modern Movie Trend”

While I’m not sure I totally agree with the headline here – if anything The Thing set a tone for horror movies going forward that many horror movies released today simply don’t care for – but I agree with all of my writing and the site’s decision to let me write about one of the all-timers in horror canon.

Also: The Thing came out on my birthday 40 years ago. That’s a sign.
