“‘Flee’ Is A Candid Documentary That Uses Animation To Tell An Afghan Refugee’s Harrowing Story”

I saw Jonas Poher Rasmussen’s Flee almost a year ago, and the movie stuck with me for that whole time. That should tell you all you need to know about its power and the effect it had on me personally.

In my feature interview with Rasmussen, I tried my best to look back and find documentaries made in the same style; I came up with Tower and Waltz with Bashir and not much else. So basically you won’t see any or many movies like Flee, which is now in theaters but will go to Hulu in due time since it’s a Neon film, and Neon has a deal with Hulu.

You can check out my piece on Flee over at Mic.
