“Wendell B. Harris, Jr.’s Extraordinary ‘Chameleon Street’ Still Strikes A Nerve 30 Years Later”

There’s something kooky going on with my author profile at The Playlist; I knew this piece ran, but it fell through the cracks.

I’m not going to waste a lot of breath here with a lead-in. I’m just going to say that this superb, idiosyncratic movie, a document of an era, an indictment of studio flimflam, and proof that screenshots of 30 years prior look an awful lot like screen grabs from 2021. You can watch this on Amazon. I hate recommending Amazon for anything, so that should tell you what I think of this movie.
