There’s a lot that I cut for clarity in my conversation with Alan Howarth, and a lot more that I’m sure we could have gotten on tape if we’d kept talking; Howarth is definitely a conversationalist, and he’s so full of stories and experiences that you could probably fill up a book with them*.
I spoke with him ahead of this year’s Coolidge Corner Horror Marathon, where Howarth appeared and performed ahead of the night’s screenings. A special experience, that; I wish I’d been there, but y’know, pandemic. Also, I don’t stay up late anymore. I’m old.
