“Family and Future Loom Large on Lowland Hum’s ‘At Home’”

Hilarious, isn’t it? I can mainline horror movies all day, but play me a 5 minute song about the climate crisis’ future realization and all I’ll want to do is crawl into a cask and stay there for the rest of my life.

I will say with confidence that I don’t think Lowland Hum, being Daniel and Lauren Goans, intended to scare me half to death with their new album, At Home, but frank appraisals of where the world is and where it’s ultimately going scare me half to death. I’m an easy lay like that. But hey, look, it’s a great record, don’t let my neuroses stop you.
