I’m surprised to say this, but I dig a story where there’s no definitive conclusion, maybe especially when I walked into the story expecting a definitive conclusion. There must be a concrete difference between a stout and a porter, right? Otherwise why would we have the two styles instead of just one?
But once upon a time there was just one, until there were two, and today there are classic qualities separating one from the other, but they matter only as far as your own palate is concerned.
