Having never physically attended Sundance in my life, you should take what I’m about to say well-salted: How It Ends is a huge Sundance cliché, and I am annoyed to see that somehow this movie has a 65% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Don’t trust aggregation.
It’s hard to tell you how I really feel about this movie, even though I did just that in my review, because I think Zoe Lister-Jones is an earnest storyteller with a point of view; I liked Band-Aid, her 2017 movie, quite a bit and appreciated our conversation about it. But I am only as good as my word and my word on How It Ends is “stop.”
