I don’t usually keep Kolsch in my fridge, largely because whenever the Kolsch I like to drink is available at breweries, I forget to visit and then the season changes and then I can’t get any damn Kolsch. If I could, I would.
It’s weird how many styles get so little respect from craft beer nerds, because craft beer nerds tend to fixate on “new” beers, whether they’re batshit crazy concoctions stuffed with adjuncts or the latest evolution of the IPA. But beers like Kolsch are cornerstones of beer itself. Love them. Love them!
