I remember my first Anders Thomas Jensen film: It was Men & Chicken, a comedy that grossed me out more thoroughly than the goriest horror movies, and also moved me in spite of my nausea. That movie starred Mads Mikkelsen. Jensen’s latest movie stars Mads Mikkelsen. You can see where I’m going with this.
Riders of Justice gives a new take on a tired trope, and I’m always grateful for movies that give new takes on tired tropes, especially tropes like “wife dies, husband goes on a killing spree.” There’s much more to the story than that here. There’s even a sense of humor. And of course: Mads.
