Every once in a while, knowing about the awful crap the English have done to the Welsh pays off. Take this piece I just did for Fangoria about Chris Baugh’s very good new movie Boys From County Hell: It’s an Irish movie about Irish things, but I couldn’t help thinking about that one time a whole-ass Welsh village was flooded to make room for a reservoir for Liverpool. How neighborly.
You can read the full piece about the movie, and about Capel Celyn, over at Fangoria.
I thought this movie was a huge letdown. I just found it boring and less interesting as the plot unfolds. The vampire was kind of anti-climactic.
