Fun fact: Regina means “queen” in Latin. That means Regina King’s name is literally Queen King. Her sister is named Reina, which means her name is also Queen King. I think Mama and Papa King had high aspirations for their kids. I have zero clue what Reina does with herself, but Regina is on top of the world, so mission accomplished, Mama and Papa King!
I did not catch One Night in Miami prior to coming up with my 2020 “best of” list, which, now that I think about it, I never actually posted anywhere for posterity*. So I guess that means if I ever feel bothered to publish one here, I’ll probably include One Night in Miami on it in some capacity. What a pleasure it is to just watch good actors with chemistry talk in a properly-shot space for a couple of hours. This is a great film.
