“Wolfwalkers’ Unmissable Animation Makes History Magic”

I have admired the work of Tomm Moore since 2009’s The Secret of Kells, and I have covered his work since 2014’s Song of the Sea. Given that Cartoon Saloon is his baby (co-baby), I think movies like The Breadwinner fall under that umbrella, too, but I really love the way he interrogates Irish folklore and history through the movies he makes himself. This is very much my sort of thing. So unsurprisingly Wolfwalkers is high on my list this year, too, especially being the most accomplished of his Irish folklore trilogy (which is really saying something).
