“As an Attempt at Movie Magic, ‘The Craft: Legacy’ Quickly Fizzles”

I know who Zoe Lister-Jones made The Craft: Legacy for – the incumbent generation of high school aged girls trying to figure out their place in the world – but what I don’t know is why the thing got made at all. It is, and I can’t find a gentler way to say this, atrocious.

Maybe people don’t care about minor details like craftsmanship and coherence when a movie speaks right to them, and I don’t want to take anything from those people. All the same, I absolutely could not stomach The Craft: Legacy, and I’d really rather just rewatch The Craft than think about it ever again.

So I’ll share my review, which is up at Paste Magazine, and move on, and hopefully forget about the sequel.
