I’m making a point of not reviewing movies given theatrical-only release platforms as long as the pandemic goes on. I think it’s immoral. More on that in detail in another piece. So: Oops. The Nest, a film I’ve been waiting for since January, is currently only available in theaters. I did not realize, in my haste to watch and review, that the VOD date (November 17th) isn’t the same as the September theatrical date. Grant that eventually you’ll be able to watch The Nest from the safety of your own home, but still, I should’ve waited until VOD. Sorry gang.
But watch The Nest you should, because it’s Sean Durkin, Martha Marcy May Marlene is a masterpiece, and I’m all for filmmakers taking their time to knock out the next one instead of just puking it out. This is an amazing movie. You can read my full review over at Paste Magazine.
