Ryan Murphy‘s track record with me is pretty abysmal, and after Hollywood, you’d think I’d have learned my less and stayed away from his work. Apparently, I’m a masochist. Or maybe I’m just searching and hoping for a Murphy show I can cotton to*, like I did the first couple seasons of Glee and a few seasons of American Horror Story before they crawled up their own butts.
The Politician is not that show, not in its first season, not in its second. I reviewed the series over at The Playlist. I wasn’t gentle.
*Technically that’s The Assassination of Gianni Versace, but that’s a Murphy show in production credits and one director’s credit only, really.
