My inbox, on any given day, receives at least a half dozen emails offering screening links for C-grade genre movies. So when charged with the task of naming a baker’s dozen of movies and shows to recommend for the coming summer season, I thought at first that I’d primarily have junk for your viewing pleasure. Good news, though: There’s a solid chunk of genre fare coming to VOD from now through July, including a couple of my most anticipated releases of the year. I bet you can guess which they are by reading the list.
