Last week, for The A.V. Club‘s weekly A-Sides feature, I had the good luck of writing about the new FKA twigs album, Magdalene, essentially her way of working through her breakup with Robert Pattinson, which I know little about*, other than it resulted in a really great album by an incredibly talented artist.
I also know that I’m happy I got to write this blurb, small though it may be, because yeah, uh…Magdalene is stellar, and FKA twigs is in Honey Boy**, and the two dropped on the same day, which I want to call kismet even though it’s probably just good marketing savvy.
Anyway, you can read my words over at The A.V. Club.
*Other than there might have been racism involved? I could solve this dilemma with a Google search, but I do recall Pattinson partisans saying lots of racist crap about her while they were dating. Probably didn’t impact the breakup, but damn, Pattinson partisans are wild. And racist.
**More on that later.
