Jump Little Children: Reveling in a Revival

Short version: We saw Jump, Little Children, whose members did jump but also are not little children, play at Boston’s City Winery at the end of September. They were great.

Longer version: I was introduced to this group back in college and I’ve been a fan since, so watching them play a decade and change after the fact, and playing new music to boot, which they have also not made a decade and change after the fact, felt kind of major for me.

Even longer version: I wrote about the experience and caught up with Matthew Bivins on the road to talk about the show, their new album, Sparrow, and what it’s like to be touring not as a reunion band but as a band full of fresh creative energy. It was a treat.
