This piece hit the web so long ago that I forgot to share it (“so long ago,” of course, means “sometime in early June”). But hey! I remembered! So here it is, my musings on “In Between,” a live EP from local singer-songwriter Maxwell Bailey, which he recorded in an Airbnb all in one shot. I respect that. I’m not sure I plan on revisiting the record anytime soon – it’s facilitated, in part, by the novelty of the exercise, tinkering with the idea of what “live” records can be – but good on Bailey for the thought process, and for his musical efforts. Dude ain’t half bad.
