Happy The Commuter day, aka “the day Andy finally remembered to post his The Commuter pieces from last week”! In my second article about Jaume Collet-Serra’s new Liam Neeson action movie, I go all in on my frustrations over how fucking disposable Liam Neeson action movies tend to be. It’s true: They can’t all be The Grey. But even when they’re entertaining, and The Commuter is totally entertaining, they’re fluff. They dissolve from your brain the moment you stop watching them. I’m okay with that to an extent, but Neeson is a better actor than that, so here I am at The Hollywood Reporter, hoping that he gets his big, memorable action opus someday before he retires*.
*I know he’s retiring from action by his own words, but I’ll believe it when I see it.
