At this point, I probably don’t need to say that I like Luke Cage, but I’ll say it anyways: I like Luke Cage. But I do wonder if there’s a more perfect version of the series lurking within the very good version we must content ourselves with, one where the fear explored in both “DWYCK” and “Take it Personal” is the real overarching antagonist of the series, and not some lunatic, Bible-thumping arms-runner with a pair of peepers that give Uzo Aduba a run for her money.
But I won’t go into it further than that. Instead I’ll just link you to my joint recap of both episodes, available at Paste Magazine. You know what to do from there. (Right? C’mon. You should.)
