So, this is pretty cool: I got to talk to Craig Robinson, one of my favorite comic actors, about his new movie, Chad Hartigan’s Morris from America, which makes great use of his funnyman qualities while giving him tons of room to maneuver on soulful planes. He isn’t even the star of the film. That would be Markees Christmas, a 17 year kid who, at the time of production, had never acted in a movie before. Christmas is good, better than, even, just based on the fact that he’s new. Robinson is next-level. Watching him at work in Morris from America was as much a pleasure as interviewing him about it.
