Go, See, Talk! Review: Wanderlust, 2012, dir. David Wain

This week, I caught a screener for David Wain’s Wanderlust, his and Ken Marino’s follow-up to 2008’s Role Models. The film has much more in common with the classic, beloved Wet Hot American Summer, though, which both speaks well for the movie and also just creates a lot of unfair comparisons. While it’s nowhere near the level of Wet HotWanderlust still has a lot to recommend it, from a supporting cast including Justin Theroux, Alan Alda, Joe Lo Truglio, and Kerri Kenney-Silver, to an almost-never-better Paul Rudd. Head on over to GoSeeTalk for my full review:

  1. I wasn’t so sure about this film from the trailer but perhaps it didn’t attempt to show its best bits in the 2 min preview. I like Paul Rudd so I’ll have to add this to my list.

    • Yeah, the best bits aren’t spoiled in the trailer at all. Rudd has an extended sequence where he talks to himself in a mirror that’s absolutely amazing. Check it out when you get the chance.

  2. …it is nice to hear that a comedy hasn’t shown its best bits in the trailer! Thanks Andrew, I’ll stick this on my to-see list.
